Changing the Game – From Concept to Commerce
Silicon Beach @USC was founded for one reason: to help business leaders and entrepreneurs launch successful new initiatives in a rapidly evolving marketplace. Now in its 4th year, the event showcases innovation from start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies in mobile, enterprise software, digital media and more. Presenters will focus on consumer desires, building a great team, tech and creative development, monetization, and more. Highlights for the day include:
Jessica Jackley, co-founder of Kiva and author of Clay Water Brick will illustrate how to unlock your entrepreneurial potential.
An all-star panel of business executives (representing the NFL, FX Networks, Fuisz Media, and others) will explore the future of digital content creation and monetization.
Investors and business leaders will present frameworks for identifying key technology and market gaps that have the potential to create the next billion-dollar business.
The final round of our $50,000 venture competition. One lucky start-up will be awarded $25K!
Ross Levinsohn, former interim CEO of Yahoo! and former President of Fox Interactive Media, will close the show.
Pitch Yourself! Selected participants will join us for our first ever ‘Pitch SessionSC’. They will have one minute to pitch their startup, skills, or resources so that we can connect them with what they need: developers, marketers, mentors, money, and more. Hosted by Kevin Winston of Digital LA.
